Construction Project Coordinator

Construction Project Coordinator, Construction Services Division Hybrid

Description

Are you a self-starter with Construction Project Coordinator expertise, who exceeds customer service expectations? If so, we would love to have you become a member of our growing team! !

 

As a valuable construction services delivery team member, you will apply your high-level knowledge of construction management and project management  to deliver construction services with excellence. This role will require a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Project Coordinator. You will be responsible for assisting project managers in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion.

 

Your duties will include coordinating schedules, managing communication between stakeholders, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong multitasking abilities, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

  • Project Leadership & Execution: Oversee the planning, design, and execution of construction projects, ensuring all deliverables meet the client’s specifications, schedules, and budgets.

  • Stakeholder Management: Work alongside Senior Program Management Executives to serve as the primary point of contact and liaison for clients, internal teams, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring clear and consistent communication across all project phases.

  • Budget & Resource Management: Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively. Ensure cost control, risk management, and timely procurement of materials and equipment.

  • Site Management & Quality Control: Travel to Construction sites daily. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications. Monitor projects to meet/exceed company specifications to Construction Policy, OSHA, NEC, State, County and/or City, and all other applicable agencies. Provide unmatched customer service and support during field visits.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of experience in construction administration/management with a focus on Commercial projects, Fiber Optic installations, Telecommunications Infrastructure, and related construction projects.

  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of PMI PMBOK Principles and Construction Management principles, fiber optic network design and construction processes, including splicing, trenching, aerial and underground installations, and associated equipment. Knowledge of Underground Fiber routing and buried environments, utility construction. Experience managing ROW and ROE requirements a plus.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

  • Project Management Expertise: Hands-on experience managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management.

  • Technical Proficiency: Solid knowledge of construction standards, safety protocols, and fiber optic technology.

  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent preferred. Fiber optic-specific certifications (e.g., FOA, BICSI) are highly desirable.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, a related field, some coursework or equivalent industry experience.
